Meet Elsie
Ever since I was a little girl, I've had a special place in my heart for fashion.
I still remember how I could spend hours playing dress-up, trying on beautiful clothes and imagining all the lovely outfits I'd wear when I grew up.
But as the years went by, I realised something.
It was never really about the clothes. It was about how they made you feel.

Now, at 60, I look back and realise how much life has taught me about beauty, confidence and growing older.
I've watched so many wonderful women slowly lose a little of their confidence as the years pass. Women who once wore whatever made them happy, suddenly wondering if something is still appropriate for their age.
And oh, how I wish I could tell every single one of them that beauty doesn't have an age limit.
You don't stop being beautiful when you turn 40, 50, 60 or beyond. You don't have to stop wearing the things you love. And you certainly don't have to become invisible just because you're getting older.
For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of creating a little place where women could feel that way too.
A boutique filled with beautiful pieces, warmth and a simple reminder that every chapter of a woman's life deserves to be celebrated.
For years, it was just a little dream I carried in my heart.
And then, something happened that made it even more special.
My daughter Rue wanted to share that dream with me.
I don't think I'll ever find the right words to explain how much that means.
To watch your little girl grow into a beautiful, kind-hearted woman is already one of life's greatest gifts. But to stand beside her, creating something together that we both believe in so deeply?
Well, that's something I never could have imagined when I was that little girl playing dress-up.
And now, here we are. Our very own little boutique, Elsie & Rue.
My greatest hope is that when you visit us, you feel a little of the love we've poured into it.
Whether you're 30 or 70, finding your confidence again or simply treating yourself to something lovely, I hope you always remember that you deserve to feel beautiful.
Because if there's one thing I've learned in my 60 years, it's that growing older is a privilege, and feeling beautiful should always be part of it.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing our little dream to become part of your world.

Meet Rue
"My mum always used to say, Darling, getting older should never mean feeling less beautiful."
When I was younger, I never quite understood how much those words would mean to me one day.
Hi lovely, I'm Rue. 🤍
As I've grown older, I've realised just how right my mum was.
There have been moments when I've looked at something beautiful and wondered, "Am I too old for this?" And somehow, Mum always knew exactly what to say.
"But darling, does it make you happy?"
That little question has stayed with me all these years.
Because I truly believe that every woman deserves to feel beautiful, comfortable and confident in her own skin, no matter her age.
And that's where the dream of Elsie & Rue began.
My mum Elsie and I wanted to create something that felt a little different. A place where women never have to question whether they're too young, too old, or simply not enough.
A place where getting dressed feels like a joy, not a worry.
For me, it's never been about having the most clothes in your wardrobe. It's about finding those special little pieces that make you stand a little taller, smile at yourself in the mirror, and feel like you again.
And the loveliest part of it all? I get to share this little dream with my mum.
She's not only my mother, but the woman who taught me that beauty has no age, kindness never goes out of style, and the smallest things can sometimes bring the biggest smiles.
If our little boutique can make even one woman feel a little more beautiful, a little more confident, or simply a little happier in herself, then we're doing exactly what we set out to do.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here and becoming a little part of our story.
